Steve Miller Band Announces 2019 U.S. Spring Tour
The Steve Miller Band is ready to tour the United States this year. Earlier today (Jan. 14), Miller revealed the first set of shows they will be playing early this spring.
The Steve Miller Band will be performing eight shows in the southeastern part of the country, starting out in Clearwater, Fla. on March 12 and ending in Southaven, Mississippi on March 24. With more date to be added later. According to a press release, there will be no opening performer(s).
The Steve Miller Band had a busy 2018, playing 57 shows, which included a long summer strech with fellow guitar great Peter Frampton, as well as a performance on the closing day of the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival.
The press release also suggested an upcoming "album release and compilation news," although it didn't provide any further details. Last year's Ultimate Hits collection featured 40 tracks, including eight previously unreleased recordings and a conversation he had as a five-year-old talking to his godfather, Les Paul.
