Watch Paul McCartney Perform ‘Get Back’ with Ringo Starr and Ronnie Wood
Paul McCartney performed the Beatles classic "Get Back", accompanied by Ronnie Wood and his former bandmate Ringo Starr. It was last night, during a show at the O2 Arena in London where he played a total of 40 songs.
McCartney said that adding "Get Back" to the repertoire was like a Christmas present for the audience, who had already enjoyed 34 songs. They were mostly Beatles and Wings songs, but McCartney also played "Who Cares," "Come On To Me" and "Fuh You" from his latest solo album, "Egypt Station."
"We have a little surprise for you," McCartney said as the roadies assembled a drum kit that many attendees thought they recognized. "It's a surprise to us, actually ... all this was put together today," he added. "But first of all, I'd like to present the fantastic member of the Rolling Stones, Ronnie Wood." After both exchanged cheerful comments, McCartney said: "And I think we have someone else who is going to help us. Ladies and gentlemen, the always fantastic Mr. Ringo Starr." After everyone prepared to play, McCartney told the audience: "We could do a song together."
