Listen to Miley Cyrus' Version of 'Happy Xmas (War Is Over)' by John Lennon

New David Bowie Documentary To Explore Early Career

Miley Cyrus has published a version of the Christmas classic by John Lennon and Yoko Ono "Happy Xmas (War Is Over)".

Originally released in 1971 by John & Yoko / The Plastic Ono Band , the song has been covered on numerous occasions over the years by artists such as Neil Diamond, Diana Ross, Carly Simon, REO Speedwagon, The Moody Blues, Train, Laura Pausini and Jeff Tweedy(Wilco), among many others.

Now Cyrus has given her own twist to "Happy Xmas ...", enlisting Mark Ronson and Lennon's son, Sean, to record this cover.

Talking about her version, Cyrus told Howard Stern : "It's so magical every time we sing it ... goose bumps everywhere."

"This song ... the way it is so faithful to where we are at this moment and that part that says 'what have we done?' ... Are we doing enough, are we really active? All we do is complain and we do not really go out and do enough in our communities. I think it's very timely for these days. "
