Joe Perry Was Rushed to Hospital After Collapsing at Billy Joel Concert

Aerosmith lead guitarist Joe Perry collapsed backstage after performing "Walk This Way" with Billy Joel at Madison Square Garden last night (November 10). According to TMZ, a source connected with the concert reported that Perry collapsed and "looked terrible."

Paramedics were called to the scene and worked on the 68 yr old in his dressing room for around 40 minutes, a tracheal tube was put down his throat to clear the airway, Perry was then given oxygen and rushed to an unspecified hospital. At least one eyewitness says "Joe did not look good."


Billy Joel was not aware of the emergency while on stage during the final minutes of his show.

Joe Perry was still in the hospital this morning where he is reportedly alert and responsive
