Hundreds of AC/DC Fans Attempt to Break a World Record

More than 450 guitarists met last weekend at a festival in Sydney, Australia, to beat a Guinness World Record for the "Greatest Electric Guitar Group" by playing AC/DC's "Highway to Hell" in unison .

According to Reverb , the record is currently in the hands of 368 Indian guitarists who in 2013 played together "Knockin 'on Heaven's Door" (in the style of of Guns N' Roses version ).

In total, 457 contenders to break the record gathered at the Sydney Guitar Festival to play the AC/DC classic.

According to the spokeswoman of the festival, Tatiana Marchant , although the guitarists used small Marshall amplifiers with portable batteries, "but they got the sound happening."

According to Mashable, it can take up to six weeks for Guinness to verify the results of an attempt to obtain a world record, so the Australian guitarists still do not know if their "Highway to Hell" is better than the "Knockin 'on Heaven's Door" of the Indian group. But sooner than later they will know.
