Hand Surgery Forces Ozzy Osbourne to Postpone Show
An unspecified infection caused Ozzy Osbourne to undergo surgery on his hand yesterday morning (October 6). As a result, the singer was forced to postpone a concert scheduled for last night in Mountain View, California.
According to a press release, Osbourne will spend "a couple of days" at the Cedars-Sinai hospital in Los Angeles, where doctors will monitor his infection.
It is expected that the former singer of Black Sabbath can return for the next concert of his solo tour "No More Tours 2", scheduled for this Tuesday October 9 in Chula Visa, California. In addition, the show postponed in Mountain View will finally be held on Tuesday, October 16.
Despite the apparent purpose of the name of his current tour, Osbourne has repeatedly stated that he is not retiring completely from the stage, but says goodbye to the extensive world tours. "I'm still going to continue doing concerts," he told Rolling Stone, "but I'm not going on tour for six months straight. I would like to spend some time at home. I have experienced fantastic things, it has been an incredible journey. I just need to slow down a bit."
In February of 2017, Ozzy, Tony Iommi and Geezer Butler concluded the farewell tour of Black Sabbath with a concert in their hometown of Birmingham, England.
