Europe | Rock The Night
Europe was on the nearing worldwide stardom when frontman Joey Tempest wrote "Rock The Night" 1985. After releasing two albums on a Swedish label Europe had signed to Epic Records. They set out on a tour of Sweden, and began to feel the excitement and anticipation. The inspiration for this song came out of those Experiences
"It was just describing the feeling of having fun and the touring life," Tempest reportedly said in an interview. Europe acted as their own producer when they recorded the original version of this "Rock The Night", which was released as a single in Sweden in 1985. They re-recorded it with producer Kevin Elson (known for his work with Journey) for The Final Countdown album. It was the band's second single In America and the UK,, following "The Final Countdown."
