Dave Grohl Cooked Barbecue For California Firefighters
While wildfires continue to devastate southern California, the Calabasas firefighters were helped by Dave Grohl. The leader of Foo Fighters visited the station yesterday to cook them a barbecue.
The Fire Station 68 in Calabasas, California, last night published a photo in which you can see the entire team accompanied by Grohl. You can also read: "It was awesome to get a visit tonight from Dave Grohl of the @foofighters. He also treated us to some of his own @backbeatbbq. Thanks Dave! It was excellent!".
Grohl had said he loved roasting during the run-up to the recording of the "Concrete and Gold" album, released last year. For him, it was a way to pass the time while the band took a one-year break after a long tour to promote "Sonic Highways" (2014).
"We have never taken so much time off," he said. "I cooked for months. He had eight breasts a week. It got a little dark. "
According to Blabbermouth, Grohl has taken his skill to Beached Pig in Studio City, California, a restaurant that is part of the Valley Urban Market, which was co-founded by Grohl's wife, Jordyn. He also created an Instagram account for Backbeat BBQ, although his specific plans, which could include a line of meats, ribs and sauces, as well as a restaurant, have not been disclosed.
The Woolsey fire started in Ventura County, California, late last week and has since claimed 44 lives. More than 37,000 hectares and 435 structures have been destroyed. Until last night, only 30 percent of the fire has been contained.
President Donald Trump has threatened to end federal aid to California, due to what he called "mismanagement" of forests, a decision that has infuriated several artists who have been affected by the fire .
