A CNN Report Suggests That James Brown Was Killed

In 2006, James Brown was pronounced dead of a heart attack in the early hours of Christmas morning. However, a new investigation led by CNN suggests that the death of the "Godfather of Soul" may not have been due to natural causes, but possibly due to murder.

The revelation is part of a comprehensive news chain report that includes interviews with about 140 people, trips through nine states, tens of thousands of pages of police and judicial records, 1,300 pages of text messages and forensic evidence.

One of the key points of the report is Dr. Marvin Crawford, who said he has always suspected of some criminal behavior, despite having signed the death certificate of Brown at the Atlanta hospital where he died.

"It changed too fast," Crawford said. "He was a patient who had never anticipated that he could die ... But he died that night, and I asked that question: what went wrong in that room?"

After Brown's death, Crawford said he recommended an autopsy, which the singer's daughter, Yamma, rejected. CNN consulted Yamma, but she declined to comment. Brown's other daughter, Deanna, was also contacted regarding her father's remains after accusations that her crypt might be empty. He could not confirm or deny those versions.

The investigation began in 2017 when a circus singer named Jacque Hollander contacted a CNN journalist, insisting that she had information about Brown's death, which led to another heartbreaking revelation: she and Brown had composed some songs together in the 80, and in 1988, she alleged that he raped her. Although Brown was never prosecuted, Hollander began collecting evidence related to him and his associates, specifically documents and tapes compiled for 30 years.

Another surprising discovery involves the death of Brown's third wife, Adrienne , who died in 1996 while recovering from plastic surgery. CNN was contacted by the retired police detective who investigated the case; The detective shared the pages of a notebook given to him by a confidential informant in 2001. In those pages, the informant alleged that a doctor had confessed to killing Adrienne by inducing a fatal drug overdose. The doctor denied any accusation.
