Bryan Adams accompanies Taylor Swift in a live performance of "Summer of '69"
Bryan Adams joined Taylor Swift on the stage of the Rogers Center in Toronto, Canada. It was last night (August 4) and together they performed the emblematic song "Summer of '69".
"This is one of my favorite songs ever written," Taylor Swift said as he fiddled with the initial chords. Then he added, with a smile: "It's not one of mine. But I was wondering, you guys, that you've been singing so loud all night, I really want to see how hard you can do it, right? ... So if you've been keeping your voice for a moment in the show, this is the moment". The song began and a few seconds later Bryan Adams burst onto the stage. There was no formal presentation, but his name was written on the giant screens.
After the song, Swift asked the audience to "make as much noise as possible" to dismiss him. Adams saluted and bowed, but said nothing as he left. "Summer of '69" was the fifteenth song of the night and appeared at the end of the fourth act of the series of six. Swift has added a special song in most concerts of the "Reputation" tour.
"Summer of '69" was originally included in Bryan Adams' fourth album, "Reckless" (1984). It was composed by Adams and Jim Vallance , and produced by Adams and Bob Clearmountain .
