Axl Rose spoke about new songs by Guns N' Roses: 'You never know'
In a new interview Axl Rose did not want to confirm or deny that Guns N 'Roses is going to publish new music, but he did offer a ray of hope.
Axl Rose spoke with Iceland Magazine, on the last night of the band's European tour in Rekyjavik, where they played before the largest concert in the history of the island, 25,000 people (around 7 percent of its population present.)
When asked if Guns N 'Roses planned to capitalize on the success of their "Not in This Lifetime" tour by launching "new things in the near future," Rose said: "Right now our focus is on tours and shows, but it seems that everyone is pushing that, so you never know."
He explained that the extensive concerts for which the band is known required a lot of preparation, and said: "Everyone just wants to do the best for the fans, all of us and our team. Everyone promotes each other with their performance and commitment. And with the highlights, each concert, each crowd is different with something to remember about each one. "
When asked if he had a favorite song from the Guns N 'Roses current setlist, the singer chose a cover. He said "For me right now I really enjoy singing 'Wichita Lineman, It has such a disturbing atmosphere, especially with the death of [the composer] Glen [Campbell] ... our version sounds a lot like the old Guns songs."
The next stage of the band's world tour begins in Monterrey, Mexico, on November 3 and ends in Johannesburg, South Africa, on November 29.
Their debut album, "Appetite for Destruction," was re-released last month in remastered and expanded formats.
