Aldi Supermarket Chain Launches Line of Cheeses Inspired by Classic Songs of The 80's
Starting tomorrow (Feb. 6), supermarket chain Aldi will sell a new line of limited edition cheeses. The novelty is that they will carry the names of songs from the 80s, including hits by Michael Jackson, Cindy Lauper, Def Leppard and Guns N 'Roses.
According to Delish, Aldi's Happy Farms will have in its stores cheeses called "Sweet Cheddar of Mine" and "Pour Some Gouda on Me", inspired by the songs of Guns N 'Roses and Def Leppard, respectively.
They will also have other names related to classic Cyndi Lauper ("Girls Just Wanna Have Fontina"), Michael Jackson ("Billie Goat Is My Lover"), Bonnie Tyler ("Total Eclipse of the Havarti") and Wham! ("Wake Me Up Before You Goat-Goat"). In the labels there will also be images of the musicians, with cows and goats representing the artists.
The cheeses come in packages of 150 grams (Lauper and Wham!) And 200 grams all others, and sell for $ 3.49 each.
