Ace Frehley Shares Details and New Single for ‘Spaceman’ LP
A new album by Ace Frehley titled Spaceman is scheduled for release on October 19. The announcement was accompanied by the release of the album's second single, "Rockin' With the Boys."
A press release claims that the origin of the track dates back to the '70s, during Frehley's Kiss days.
Check out Rockin' With the Boys as well as the first single, "Bronx Boy," below.
Containing eight original songs and a cover of Eddie Money's hit "I Wanna Go Back," Spaceman continues a decade of productivity for the former Kiss guitarist that, in recent years, has spawned the release of a record of completely new material (2014's acclaimed Space Invader) as well as a tribute to some of Frehley's heroes (2016's Origins, Vol. 1).
Spaceman reunites of sorts with Gene Simmons, his former Kiss bandmate, who co-wrote the opener "Without You I'm Nothing." Simmons also played bass on that song aa well as "Your Wish Is My Command." Simmons also named the album Spaceman, the pair performed together at a Vault Experience event in Los Angeles back in March of this year. They will also be touring Australia together beginning later this month.
Ace Frehley is currently on the road in the U.S. until August. 18. After a few shows in Tokyo from Sept. 3 - 6, he will be back in America, for the Kiss Kruise VIII Oct. 31 - Nov. 5, followed by three shows in Florida wraping up at the Miramar Amphitheatre on Nov. 11.
Scheduled for release on October 19 "Spaceman" is available for pre-order now at Amazon.com
